meet kaelyn

This little girl may look sweet, but she sure gave her Momma a heck of a time on her way out!  Poor thing had to postpone photos because of an extended hospital stay after nerve damage caused her to lose feeling in her legs (thankfully temporarily, but still for a couple of weeks)!  When I...

gavin & silas are one!

Little Gavin & Silas stole my heart at their six month photo session last summer.  Then in the blink of an eye it was fall and I was taking their one year photos.  Dang, how quickly that first year flies!  [All the reason to document it with professional photos!] I met up with these two buddies...

mommy & me photos: the perfect mother’s day gift!

“Smile at Mommy, kids!!!”  [[click]]    … another adorable moment documented from behind the camera. I get it.  That’s where I’m most comfortable too.  And getting in FRONT of the camera can be scary: What if my kids won’t behave?  What will we wear?  What if I’m still carrying ten pounds [ok, fifteen] from my last...

avah & lucas

I had never met this sweet family before, but when I showed up to the session and Momma surprised me with a Starbucks mug/gift card, I was so impressed with her kind & thoughtful heart.  I KNOW it’s not exactly easy to get two young kiddos out the door, dressed and put together, on a specific...

delphine & family

You may recognize little Delphine because she celebrated her first birthday with me last summer, but for her winter session she brought along some guests:  her grandma & grandpa!  We got together for a fun morning at the McMurtrey’s Christmas tree farm.  It was early in the season, before the farm had opened to the...

eli & olive

I first met these cute kiddos last summer during my Back to School themed photo sessions at My Three Little Birds.  Then Mom contacted me a couple months later, explaining that they wanted family photos to document their time in Seattle before their upcoming move to Colorado.  We agreed Lincoln Park would be perfect because the awesome beach/driftwood screams Pacific...

announcing: seattle spring mini sessions!

I know, I know… the news is full of blizzard images from around the country and I’m going to talk about spring?  Well, we’re lucky to live in Seattle where things are green & vibrant & MILD all year round so let’s celebrate by getting OUTSIDE!  Last year I offered spring mini sessions in March and they...

avery’s family

All the talk this week of winter blizzards has me thinking of warm, summer days again.  (Although if I’m being honest, I would totally love a snow day here in Seattle… I’m jealous of my east coast friends!)  So if you’re dreaming of warm sunny days as well, here’s a fun session from awhile ago…...

gus & abel

Oh, these boys.  These mega-high-energy-but-also-mega-cute brothers.  When their family photo session was rained out (again) this fall, I asked if they’d be interested in trying the Seattle Central Library.  They have some really neat colors & architecture (and most importantly, it’s indoors).  When I suggested the library, Mom was hesitant… ‘are you sure MY kids wouldn’t get kicked...

meet aurora

It’s a brand new year so it seems appropriate for my first featured session of 2016 to be a brand new baby!  This newborn session was unlike any of my others and ultimately became one of my favorites of all time.  Little Rory (Aurora) was older than my usual newborn clients so we opted to do a more...

seattle tree farm photo sessions: the recap!

Oh, you guys… it was such a wonderfully busy fall season for Miss Freddy!  A record-setting 47 sessions (dang!).  Here are the seventeen beautiful families I photographed for my tree farm mini sessions in November. You may notice there’s a wide variety in these images because what initially was ONE day of minis ultimately ended up as SEVEN different...

meet annalynne

Oh… this sweet family.  They were actually the VERY FIRST people we met in Seattle.  Our first Sunday in town, we wandered into a new church (just three days after moving here) and the very welcoming priest connected us with another couple he knew that also lived nearby… turns out their townhome was just behind...

So many of my clients reach out and say ‘we haven’t had family photos taken since my toddler was a newborn…‘  Even more of my sessions seem to begin with ‘we’ve never gotten professional photos taken… we have no idea what to do!‘ I want you to know that it’s NOT your job to ‘know what to...

henry is one year old!

Oh, it’s been so much fun to watch this kiddo grow up!  From maternity, to newborn, to six months to ONE WHOLE YEAR OLD!  The first year is the BEST to photograph because the kids change so dramatically between sessions!  [Sidenote:  Curious about the timing I recommend for professional photos of your baby?  Read my recommendations...

a special visit from grandma & grandpa

Adam’s grandparents traveled a LONG distance for a Seattle visit.  I was honored to document their special time with a photo session at Lincoln Park.  Here are some of my favorites from the day: You may recognize Adam because he is a regular in front of my camera… always first to sign up for themed...

hannah is one!

Last time I saw this sweet family was for Hannah’s newborn photos so, as always, it was such a shock to see the kiddos ‘all grown up’ now.  Hannah walking.  Judah still running, but now having conversations with me.  I love that I get these glimpses into my client’s lives as the kids grow.  My job...

preserving your memories: scanning old photos

Remember the ‘olden days‘ when you’d carefully snap photos on a film camera (for me, it was usually a disposable one), wait for the roll to fill, then wait even longer for development?  Finally, with a stack of photos in hand, you’d flip through them and laugh, picking your favorite to frame or pin on...

preserving your memories: photo storage

I’m really excited to feature an article today written by Meaghan Kahlo, owner of Ephemera Photo Organizing here in West Seattle.  Meaghan brought her son to my Halloween mini sessions last fall and when I found out what she does for a living, I was really intrigued!  Meaghan is a personal archivist and certified personal photo...

HI, I’M MISS FREDDY.

Actually, my name is Casey. As a newborn I resembled Fred Flintstone so my parents nicknamed me Freddy and it stuck. I am a professional photo organizer (yes, that's a thing!) who helps people all over the world make sense of their photo mess through organizing services and self-paced online courses.

I want to help you ENJOY your photos again!
