merry christmas from miss freddy!

This past year was incredible and I’m so thankful you were a part of it!  Here’s a peek at my family’s Christmas card for this year:

the story of our christmas card

I was SO close to skipping Christmas cards this year because I had just sent out Jillian’s birth announcements & Colin’s birthday invitations and I was feeling uninspired.  Over Thanksgiving I was complaining to John… I have no clothes that fit me… no place to take the photos… Jill is too tiny for an outdoor photo shoot… who will take the photo so we can all be in it?let’s just skip it!  But then John had a brilliant idea.  He held up the new Christmas pajamas from Grandma Josie and said ‘Why don’t you just take a photo of the kids in these?  Why do we all have to be in the card?‘   See why I married him?  He’s a problem solver.

Taking a great photo of a 2 year old & 2 month old is easier said than done though.  Imagine my complete surprise when I witnessed the Christmas miracle you see above.  I placed Jill in Colin’s arms… she was GIDDY and smiling so big… all I had to do was say something silly to get Colin’s grin.  I couldn’t believe it.  Less than one minute.

The only thing missing…. Colby Jack.  Poor guy.

Merry Christmas, friends!
