Meet Anthony.  He took a break from the college applications to meet me in Seattle’s Gas Works Park for senior photos.

Not surprisingly, it was raining during our original appointment.  But, after rescheduling, we LUCKED OUT with an amazing warm & sunny November day.  [I’m learning that being a photographer in Seattle means lots of flexibility & rescheduling this time of the year. Bring it.]

Gas Works Park is a fun place, full of neat nooks & colorful crannies.  Rusted pipes & retired mechanical structures.  I know Anthony chose this location because it’s close to home.  It’s in his ‘hood.  But it was also the perfect setting for a guy who wants to study mechanical engineering.

For someone who, as a child, answered the ‘what do you want to be when you grow up’ question with: a patent attorney and an inventor.

Another neat thing about Anthony and his family is they’re really into urban farming.  In fact, his mom just launched an amazing company in Seattle that connects consumers directly with farmers.  I cannot wait to delve into this more and purchase some delicious local meat & produce.

For all the work on the farmland [aka: their residential homestead], they recently purchased this vintage Dodge pickup truck.  It’s a beauty.  Such a fun addition to the senior photo session!

Anthony, thank you for answering my many, MANY questions about chickens [I’m obsessed].
It was a pleasure meeting you.  Good luck with those college applications!
