minnesota mini sessions: part two

It was deja vu.  The weather app told me to expect a beautiful day so I cancelled the backup studio location.  I should have known better after day one.  Yes, once again… the rain didn’t turn into sunshine, as forecasted.

But, once again, my clients rocked it.  No one complained as I did my best to keep everyone warm & dry.

There are so many photos to share… here are a few highlights from day two!
[oh, and be sure to scroll down and sign up to be notified of my future MN events & specials!]

The day kicked off with big brother Charlie & his little sis Alexis.  I worked with Charlie’s Dad when I lived in Minneapolis, but this was the first time getting these cuties in front of my camera.  And Charlie sure knew how to work it!

Then I was joined by a familiar family… they’ve attended my mini sessions every year!  Even though it was cold, their warmth and fun spirit came through.

Next came another old coworker, joined by Michael Buble.  I mean… her husband.  Sorry.  You can see how I got confused.  I LOVED that they embraced the unpredictable MN weather by bringing a fun umbrella for their photos.

Tori & her family came next.  I hadn’t seen her since she turned one [almost two full years ago!] and I had to do a double take when she jumped out of the car.  She’s all grown up!  Full of a contagious happy energy that was fun to photograph.

Had to sneak in a few photos of my brother-in-law and nephew.  If their pup looks familiar, it’s because she’s my Colby Jack’s older sister.  We really miss these guys now that we live in Seattle so I’m glad I was able to take a few photos during my visit.

Next came Hayden… when I last saw him, he was stuffing his face with his first birthday cake!  He’s THREE now [WHAT?!] and even has a little brother, Declan!  I told Declan ‘I’m going to take your photo now… can you sit on the blanket and give me a smile?’  [oy, an 18 month old… yeah right.]  I lift my camera and the shot you see below [on the right] was the first take.  Declan, way to show up EVERY 18 month old I’ve ever photographed.

Hayden was followed by his best friend Crosby.  Crosby should look familiar because he is plastered all over my website [he’s even my miss freddy facebook profile photo!]  I can’t get enough of this adorable guy.  And now he has a baby sister, Genevieve!  Oh, my word, her smile just lights up the room.

Next came another old coworker [I’m seeing a trend…] and her beautiful blond boys.  Abe & Frank in their matching shirts and red shoes are just too cute!

Addison, Ella & their new little brother, Beckett, wrapped up my Minnesota Mini Sessions.  Wouldn’t you believe… after ALL THAT RAIN… the sun came out for a gorgeous pink sunset during their session.

Rain or shine, I HAD A BLAST catching up with all these families.  I cannot wait to do it again next fall.

Did you hear that?  I’LL BE BACK, MINNESOTA!
