As the year draws to a close, I like to take a moment to reflect and crunch the numbers. This annual practice gives me a chance to look back on what went well, the challenges I had, and how that’ll influence the coming year. So, in true nerdy fashion, I’ve gathered some stats to share a behind-the-scenes look at how the year unfolded.
2024 Highlights
New Website. After designing and maintaining my own website since 2010, this year I hired a professional web design team to build a new home for Miss Freddy. We re-organized things for easier navigation, enhanced the copy so new visitors can better understand my services, and refined my brand colors ever-so-slightly by replacing red with purple (why wasn’t it always purple? it’s perfect!). This project also unexpectedly led to a complete overhaul of my client management system which was a ton of work on the backend, but has really streamlined things.
Facebook Ads. At the end of last year I started working with a Facebook Ads Manager to develop a strategy to help Miss Freddy get in front of more people and it’s really paid off. The ads increased my newsletter subscribers by 20% this year and increased the revenue generated during my annual sales year-over-year (previously sales were downtrending significantly).
Course Updates. It began with completely re-filming the Backup Bootcamp course to incorporate technology changes and make the videos easier to watch. I also introduced a new ‘completion prize’ that’s been SO much fun- over 275 students claimed a prize so far! Over the summer, I then re-filmed the entire Mac Basics course and worked with a fabulous designer (the same one who designed the Backup Bootcamp and Family Yearbooks websites in the last two years) to give it a colorful, fun, new website. It turned out SO beautifully and students loved it. Remember, when you purchase a Miss Freddy course, it includes access to any future updates so students enjoyed all these improvements at no additional cost!
2025 Goals
I tried some new things with content creation this year that I’m excited to carry into the new year. I increased my focus on blog content, created several new freebies, and tested some new things with Instagram (Manychat automation was hugely helpful).
One thing I’ve been working hard on this year is developing the plans for a new membership community. This is something I’ve been asked for repeatedly and have given a lot of thought to in recent years. I’m finally ready to share:
Membership Community. I am so excited to open my brand new membership community in the new year- the Yabba Dabba Do Crew! Over the years, I’ve created online courses to cover all the topics I want to teach about and now I’m excited to focus my attention on helping people actually do the work. This community will be about accountability and getting things done. I’m so excited!
Thank you for your support!
As I look back at the numbers, I’m SO proud of what my team accomplished! Can we help YOU in 2025?
