Will a photo organizing project be on your New Years Resolution list again next year? Consider adding one of these useful gadgets to your wishlist this holiday season! Often the tech-related items on my Gadget Guide are discounted for Black Friday so it’s a great time to purchase.
From storage to high-speed scanning, these gadgets are perfect for someone looking to organize, preserve, and enjoy their photos. Whether for yourself or a loved one, the tools in this gift guide can assist with your digital and printed memories.
Miss Freddy’s Favorite Gadgets:
For organizing your digital photos, you’ll want an external hard drive and potentially an adapter that will allow you to plugin multiple drives or memory cards at once:
For organizing your physical photos, you’ll need a photo scanner and if you have VHS tapes lying around the Video Capture device will help you digitize those as well. A high-speed photo scanner like the FastFoto will save you TONS of time if you have a large volume of prints or documents to scan, but it will be more of an investment. The V19 is a more affordable photo scanner, but a flatbed is going to be slower. You can read more about my scanner recommendations here.
You’ll be spending a lot of time at the computer for your photo organizing projects. These are some items that make my computer time more comfortable. The laptop stand definitely helps my laptop stay cooler during this organizing work (my laptop gets hot when it’s working hard).
After you’re done organizing your digital photos, a digital frame is an amazing reward! My family loves this Aura frame specifically as there’s no limit to the number of photos you can add. It’s beautiful and easy to setup:
