life right now [april]

Apr 21, 2025

currently…

preparing to move. WHAT? Yes, I’m surprised too. A house came on the market (in our town, not moving far!), we saw it that day and scrambled to get the pieces in place to make an offer the following day. We haven’t closed yet so it’s not final, but it’s definitely been a whirlwind.

decluttering all the things to get ready to list our house for sale. The kids were tiny (3 and 1) when we moved into our current house and there are many things we will not bring with us to the new home like a train table, kitchen set, play cottage, etc. Feels like we’re transitioning into a new chapter and that’s brought up some feels.

dreaming up ideas for my office in the new home. I love my current office space, but it’s all custom built-ins so I can’t bring them with me.

reading The Rook on my Kindle.

listening to Will (Will Smith’s memoir). I’ve been on a celebrity memoir kick for audiobooks lately because they’re readily available in the Libby app.

wearing this cute blouse. The little ruffle sleeve detail is fun.

using this sourdough knife to slice like a pro! It makes perfect slices for sandwiches.

transitioning my “Tech Things for non-Techie People” series I’ve been sharing on Instagram into an email series: one bite-sized ‘tech thing’ delivered daily via email for 30 days. I think this will be a much better way to deliver this information. It’ll be ready soon!

designing a new Organizing Old Photos website. All of my other courses have gotten updates and it’s finally this one’s turn (originally released in 2019). I have the initial designs done, but filming the videos will be a summer project.

speaking of summer there’s only one month left in our school year which means I’m wrapping up lots of client work before taking off June and July. If you have a scanning or video conversion project you’d like completed prior to my summer break, please ship it to me by April 30th.
