life right now [january]

currently…

struggling with the crib transition.  Jill slept beautifully in the rock & play next to our bed for her first three months, but now that we’re trying to make the crib happen, well… no one is getting as much sleep.

reading We Are Called To Rise.  [by the way… I finally quit The Goldfinch after nearly three months.  A for effort?]

watching The Following on Netflix.  Majorly disturbing.  And not entirely filling the void left after we finished The Killing.

eating chocolate chip banana bread.  Baked in my new mini loaf pan!  Yum.

shopping for a dress for Jill to wear to her baptism.  Why is everything so dang frilly?  I think I’ve settled on this one.

compiling my ‘capsule’ wardrobe.  My closet has been totally neglected for longer than I care to admit [after leaving a corporate job, two pregnancies, and a whole lot of size fluctuations…], but this ‘capsule’ concept is inspiring me to get my act together and up my non-existent game.

loving my new wedges [see above about upping my game].  Why didn’t anyone TELL ME that wedges are cute AND comfortable?

crushing on this city.  I dare you to watch this video and NOT move here.

planning some fun little trips to see more of the Pacific Northwest this year.  San Juan Islands… Portland… what’s your favorite PNW destination? [no, really, I want to know.  please comment.]

looking forward to my Valentines Photo Booth!  Have you reserved your spot?
