Almost every single client I work with pays for iCloud. Except the majority of them don’t have any idea how iCloud even works or are too scared to stop paying for it. (I get it! Apple makes it scary to leave- are you going to lose everything? yikes!)
Personally, I just use the free 5GB iCloud plan. Yes, the free plan. I use iCloud for my Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Safari, Passwords, and more. I do not use it for Photos, Videos, Drive, Backup or Messages (these are what take up all the space and drive you into bigger + bigger iCloud plans!).
